It’s pretty, but is it Art?

After my Mystical Landscapes post about light, I'd like to turn my thoughts to the question of whether what we do in the model railroad world can be considered Art. I think so and here's why. It is certainly artistic. Many of the supplies on my workbench come from the art supply store. Watercolour pencil crayons, chalks and pastels, oil and acrylic paints, numerous different brushes, matte medium, sprays, colours, blades, rulers, cutting matts, etc.
